TO ALL EAGLE AUXILIARY MEMBERS:
OUR STATE AUXILIARY IS ONCE AGAIN PUBLISHING A COOKBOOK. IT WILL BE PUBLISHED IN TIME TO HAVE FOR SALE AT STATE CONVENTION.
ALL MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT AS MANY RECIPES AS YOU WOULD LIKE FOR THIS. WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE EVERYONE SUBMIT AT LEAST ONE RECIPE FOR EACH CATEGORY.
FOR THOSE THAT HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER, YOU MAY SUBMIT YOUR RECIPE ON-LINE YOURSELF.
TO DO THIS, GO TO www.morriscookbooks.com. IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THEIR HOME PAGE THERE ARE TAN LINES. CLICK ON THE BOTTOM ONE THAT SAYS “TYPENSAVE”. THIS WILL BRING YOU TO THE LOG IN PAGE. YOU WILL NEED TO ENTER ONLY YOUR NAME (FIRST AND LAST) AS YOU WOULD LIKE IT ON THE RECIPE. THE NEXT LINE ENTER OUR GROUP LOG IN WHICH IS: stateauxiliary. THE NEXT ITEM IS THE PASSWORD WHICH IS: recipes.
YOU ARE NOW GOING TO ENTER A RECIPE. THE FIRST LINE IS YOUR NAME, AS YOU JUST PUT IT TO LOG IN. THE NEXT LINE ASKS FOR A 2ND NAME. THIS IS WHERE YOU MAY ENTER YOUR AERIE/AUX.# AND NAME, PAST PRES., LOCAL OR STATE OFFICE HELD, ETC. OF UP TO 35 LETTERS. THIS LINE WILL HAVE TO BE THE SAME ON ALL RECIPES YOU ENTER. YOUR NAME WILL NEED TO BE ENTERED EXACTLY THE SAME FOR EACH RECIPE ALSO. YOU CAN’T ENTER SUE ON ONE AND SUSAN ON THE NEXT ONE.
NEXT IS THE NAME OF THE RECIPE. THEN THE CATEGORY OF THE RECIPE. CLICK ON THE ARROW TO THE RIGHT OF THE BOX AND SELECT THE CATEGORY.
ENTER ALL THE INGREDIENTS OF YOUR RECIPE. THE FIRST COLUMN IS FOR HOW MANY. SECOND COLUMN IS HOW MANY LBS OR OUNCES OF CONTAINERS, THIRD IS FOR MEASUREMENT. CHOOSE CUPS TSP OR TBSP OR BAGS OR CANS.LAST COLUMN IS FOR THE INGREDIENT. MAKE SURE YOU ENTER ALL OF YOUR INGREDIENTS IN THIS AREA. USE THE ARROW UP OR DOWN IF YOU FORGOT AN INGREDIENT. THE X ON THE END WILL DELETE A LINE IF YOU ADDED TOO MANY.CLICK ON THE PLUS SIGN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE INGREDIENTS IF YOU NEED TO ADD A LINE FOR MORE INGREDIENTS.
IN THE NEXT BOX, YOU WILL NEED TO TYPE ALL OF YOUR INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THIS ITEM. BE SURE YOU WRITE VERY GOOD DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING YOUR RECIPE.
WHEN YOU HAVE THAT FINISHED, CLICK THE SPELLING BUTTON TO CORRECT ANY SPELLING ERRORS YOU MIGHT HAVE. WE WANT TO HAVE THESE CORRECTED BEFORE THEY GO TO THE NEXT STEP FOR PUBLISHING, AND SAVE IT.
IF YOU WANT TO JUST TYPE IT IN AS AN E-MAIL, I OR RHONDA WILL GET THEM PUT IN FOR YOU. JUST E-MAIL IT TO US. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER THAT WOULD LIKE TO SEND US A RECIPE, YOU MAY EITHER ENTER IT ONLINE FOR THEM, OR MAIL IT TO ONE OF US. JUST KEEP IN MIND THE DEADLINE TO RECEIVE THEM IS APRIL 3RD. YOU MAY ALSO PRINT OUT A RECIPE ENTRY SHEET (THE ATTACHMENT) AND FILL IT OUT AND MAIL IT TO US.
AS YOU ARE SENDING IN THESE RECIPES, YOU MAY ALSO ENTER HOW MANY COPIES OF THE COOKBOOK YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER. KEEP IN MIND THEY WILL NEED TO BE PAID FOR WHEN YOU RECEIVE THEM IN JUNE.
